Stay Savvy!

Scott Rogowsky, of HQ Trivia fame, recently launched a new live-on-your-phone game show called TextSavvy, and it’s been fun so far! The gameplay is a fun mix of Wordle and Connections, and I think it works really well.

The format they seem to have settled on is four rounds of Wordle, and a fifth “Savvy Subtext” round, where you’re trying to find the connection between the words. For example, last night’s game had “PIN,” “BARB,” “POINT,” and “RAZOR.” The fifth “subtext” round was “SHARP.”

You earn money based on how well you do; being in the higher percentile of players can get you up to $5 per game. You also earn a “hostbuster bonus” for beating Scott (or whoever is hosting that night). In addition to the bonus, people who beat the host are also in the running for a “hammer,” which lets them cash out their accrued winnings. I’ve got about $80 saved up whenever I get one.

It’s on the App Store and Google Play, if you’re interested in playing alongside me!
