A few years ago, I came across the “personal README files” that some folks on the GitLab engineering team had written, and I thought it was a really neat idea. (Sidenote, their whole “open handbook” is super cool and worth a skim; it’s one hell of a dedication to openness when you lay out a supermajority of your processes for the world to see! I’d love to see more companies adopt it.)

I wrote my own that’s been available to my colleagues at NC State for a while, but figured I’d make it available here on my website if there’s anyone that’s interested in perusing it.
